They took leadership in our area and our scores have reflected this. They decided to open up earlier and stay safe in order not to close again. Legacy was set apart from all other schools during the pandemic.
We appreciate the like-mindedness of the families, the sense of community, the culture and relationships formed between teachers and students. Our coaches are leaders in their faith and in their sport. This builds relationships outside of the classroom. My son partnered with staff to commence a media class which is in its third year.Įighty five percent of the students participate in extra curricular activities. My children have been given opportunities that they would not have received elsewhere. Legacy prepares these kids well for the college schedule and college course load. I have had one of my children graduate and my other is a junior. Parent: Our family has attended Legacy since 2015. There are no sports other than at Lone Star and we do lack things like homecoming. There are clubs such as Student Council but there are things missing. In terms of student life, there is less than 500 students enrolled, making student interaction easier. But with the teachers and faculties at both Lone Star and Tomball Star, you will be able to get the help you need and develop meaningful relationships. That is not to say that the workload will be easy. When you graduate, you will not only get your high school diploma but you will get an Associate’s Degree and 60 credit hours. The number of high school and dual credit courses will vary for each year. You would be taking both high school (AP varying) and dual credit classes. The moment you are admitted and enter the school, you are automatically considered a college student because of the partnership the school has with the local Lone Star College campus in Tomball. Senior: Tomball Star Academy is not the typical school.
